124-0012 DUE 090100 POC Richard Houser, Contract Specialist The
Federal Correctional Insitution, Oxford, Wisconsin is soliciting to
establish a contract for supervision of inmates and maintaining
technical competence in the Janitorial/Housekeeping vocational program.
The Contractor will provide expertise in the Janitorial/Housekeeping
Services Program including but not limited to: Floor and wall surface
care, carpet and furniture cleaning, window cleaning, restroom
cleaning, use of cleaning chemicals, safety issues, and use of power
equipment. The Contractor will provide complete and accurate,
observational and standardized assissment of students. Help design,
organize and modify on an as needed basis the classroom environment.
Evaluation of students progress and performance. Maintain accurate,
updated records of student progress and performance and provide grades
on a timely basis, as required by the agency certifying the program.
Assist in equipment and material selection, specification and shop
utilization. The Contractor will adhere to all regulations prescribed
by F.C.I. Oxford for the safety, custody, and conduct of inmates. The
Contractor will attend a four hour training session prior to assuming
institutional involvement at no cost to the Government. The Contractor
will provide two sessions (one session equals a three hour period)
between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, not to
exceed 30 hours per week for an estimated 416 sessions for the
estimated contract period of October 1, 2000 through September 30,
2001. An option year contract is comtemplated, award will be based on
the total price for the basic requirement together with any option(s)
exercised at the time of award. Contract award will be based on the
following evaluation factors: Vocational expertise in
Janitorial/Housekeeping Services, total cost of services. All
responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by
this office. A firm fixed-price contract will be awarded on or about
September 01, 2000 to the lowest qualified bidder. The estimated range
of this agreement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Posted 08/11/00
