Y -- FALL PROTECTION, PROVIDE SAFETY CABLE AND HARNESS IN HANGAR 175 SOL N62472-00-Q-4351 DUE 082900 POC Contact -- KARLA PARSONS, CONTRACT SPECIALIST (215) 773-2102 Provide a safety cable and harness (Fall Protection) system in the four hangar bays of Hangar 175 and all related work. The fall protection system shall be engineered, designed, supplied, installed and tested as a complete system. System shall support four (4) people. Personnel must be able to travel the length of the cable without disconnecting. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1799. This solicitation is unrestricted -- open to large and small business concerns. The performance period is 90 days. This will be a firm-fixed price contract utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. In accordance with FAR 5.102 (a) (7), availability of the solicitation will be limied to the electronic medium. Specifications WILL NOT be provided in a paper hard copy format for CD-ROM. The address for downloading this solicitation from the Internet is http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge; however, some specifications may take a considerable amount of time to download. All prospective quoters are required to register on the Naval Facilities Engineering Command ESOL web site for this procurement when specifications become available. Official planholder will be maintained on and can be printed from the website. The solicitation will not be available until 24 Aug 2000. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the internet. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the Internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. All xontractors are required to register in the Department of Defense (DoD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts.
