Yosemite National Park (YNP) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Pacific Bell for the upgrade of all 911 emergency equipment. The Communications Center's 911 System, which is funded by the State of California, is due for an upgrade and the vender for this equipment is Pacific Bell 911. The actual state approved products for YNP's upgrade will be provided by Positron and AVTEC. The state will only allow these specific systems to reside on the 911 hardware.
