Aging, Intramural Research Program, Gerontology Research Center intends
to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Centre for Addiction and
Mental Health, R. Michael Bagby, Ph.D. C.Psych., Mood and Anxiety
Program, Clarke Division, 260 College Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
M5T 1R8. Dr. Bagby will provide a dataset describing the psychiatric
status, neuropsychological functioning, and personality characteristics
of a sample of 14 community-dwelling, non-treatment-seeking, depressed
individuals. Comprehensive baseline, follow-up psychiatric,
neuropsychological and personality assessments, and weekly assessments
of depressioon status, rumination, and medication side effects will be
performed. The results of this study will provide the Government with
data on major depression, neuropsychological test performance, and
personality dimensions from a very important clinical population
undergoing either pharmacologic intervention for major depression or
placebo intervention. An award will be made 30 days from the date of
this notice. All responsible sources may submit their capabilities
which shall be considered by the agency. This procurement is being
awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Subpart
