Request for Proposal # IX-00-03 for the continued operation of the Inland Empire Job Corps Center located in San Bernadino, CA, will be made available on or about October 31, 2000 on the Job Corps Acquisition Home Page (http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule). Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16-24. Contractors will manage and operate a Government owned/leased facility and hire staff for the residential living, basic education, vocational training, and health care services in accordance with the applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations and policy handbook and other applicable federal regulations. The center is located at 3173 Kerry Street, San Bernadino, CA 92427, and its contract capacity is for approximately 135 male residential, 38 male non-residential, 100 female residential, 37 non-residential, for a total capacity of approximately 310 trainees. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a cost-reimbursable contract for a two year period of June 1, 2001 through May 31, 2003, plus three performance based options of one year each. There will be a walk through of the Inland Empire facility that will convene on November 28, 2000 at 10:00 AM (PST) followed immediately by a pre-proposal conference to be held on center. The RFP will consist of oral presentations and written submissions as described in Section L of the RFP. We recommend that you download the RFP prior to attending the Pre-proposal Conference. All questions related to this procurement shall be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer prior to the Pre-proposal conference. Written portions of the proposal are due no later than 2:00 PM (PST) January 12, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency.
