12 -- FIRE ALARM AND SUPPRESSION SYSTEM MAINTENANCE SOL SP0833-00-Q-0009 DUE 091500 POC Debbie Nicholson (703) 767-5478 E-MAIL: Contract Specialist, deborah_nicholson@hq.dla.mil. 1 The Contractor will provide all labor, tools, equipment, parts, materials, and incidentals necessary to inspect, test, repair and maintain the fire detection, alarm and suppression systems at the Defense National Stockpile Center (DNSC) New Haven, IN Depot, 15411 Dawkins Road, New Haven, IN 46774-9644. The system provides coverage to four (4) warehouse and one (1) building that houses the equipment maintenance shop and depot office building and two (2) fire pump houses. The suppression system is a dry pipe sprinkler in the warehouses and wet pipe in the maintenance shop/office and pump houses. The detection and alarm system is a Simplex model 212-8501 enunciator, a model 212-8202 control panel, a model 2080-9024 components include 32 dry type sprinkler system pressure switchers, 32 supervisory signals, with low air pressur switches, two (2) electric fire pump control alarms, and 16 heat detectors. The suppression system includes four (4) 1,000 GPM delivery pumps (two (2) diesel and two (2) electric),that deliver water from a reservoir through approximately 12,000 linear feet of 10 inch iron pipe to 16 valve houses (four (4) per warehouse) approximately 12, 500 linear feet of two (2) inch iron, dry pipe and approximately 3,000 linear feet of two (2) inch iron (wet) pipe. Potential contractors should review the site prior to bidding and provide certification of his/her ability to accomplish the full range of support services specified in this agreement. Products and services provided under this agreement will conform to current related state and federal statues and codes. The contractor will be required to show proof of appropriate professional certification as required by the State of Indiana, for commercial fire detection, alarm and suppression system service, prior to award of the contract.
