will provide all labor, tools, equipment, parts, materials, and
incidentals necessary to inspect, test, repair and maintain the fire
detection, alarm and suppression systems at the Defense National
Stockpile Center (DNSC) Scotia, NY Depot at Route 5/Amsterdam Road,
Scotia, NY 12302-7463. The system provides coverage to five (5)
warehouses and three (3) support buildings. Each warehouse is divided
into 4 separate section containing a fire suppression system comprised
of dry pipe Gem sprinkler valve, accelerator, 8 inch post indicator
valve, air compressor, low temp, low air, alarm relay, air compressor.
Each section contains approximately 4,500 ft. of schedule 40-sprinkler
piping ranging from 1 inch to 8 inch in diameter and approximately 442
165-degree sprinkler heads. Each support building employs 1 Gem dry
pipe sprinkler valve, drains, alarms, air compressor and 8 inch post
indicator valve, approximately 90 sprinkler heads. The total number of
dry pipe sprinkler system located at TheScotia Depot is 23. All
sprinkler systems meet NFPA #13. The fire suppression system is
supplied by a 1000-gallon per-minute Peerless single stage electric
booster pump. The pump is powered by a Marathon electric motor with a
Joslyn 460 volt 3 phase fire pump controller. The detection and alarm
system is controlled by a Digitize System 3000/Digitize Form Four
Control Center Notifier, SFP-400 Control Panel, with four (4) Exide
Batteries backup. System monitoring components include 26 dry type
sprinkler system pressure switches, 26 supervisory signals, with low
air pressure switches, 27 low temperature switches and Five 5 valve
tamper switches. Potential contractors should review the site prior to
bidding and provide certification of his/her ability to accomplish the
full range of support services specified in this agreement. Products
and services provided under this agreement will conform to current
related state and federal statutes and codes. The contractor will be
required to show proof of appropriate professional certification as
required by the State of New York, for commercial fir detection, alarm
and suppression system service, prior to award of the contract. The
Defense National Stockpile Center plans to award firm-fixed price
indefinite quantity contract for one year with four option years to one
