The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk Detachment Washington, D.C. has a requirement for an operating lease of a 5-Axis Computer Numerical Controlled Robotic Router System for the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The lease will consist of a base year and two (2) option years. This will be a straight operating lease, which means that there will be no option to purchase the equipment at any time during the lease. The Government will require installation, training, a post processor program, and tooling for the equipment. Delivery of the 5-Axis CNC Robotic Router System must be made within 150 days after contract award. Items will be delivered to the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price leasing agreement will be awarded in September 2000. The evaluation factors for award will be price, technical acceptability, and past performance. The evaluation (of technically acceptable proposals) will consider past performance approximately equal to price. The SIC code for this requirement is 3599. This will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is 23 August 2000. The procedures outlined in FAR Subpart 13.5 "Test-Program for Certain Commercial Items," will be used for this procurement.
