84 -- FIRE RETARDANT IMERSION SUIT (FRIS) SOL USZA99-00-Q-0097 DUE 082500 POC Thelma Escobar, 757-492-7960 x2228 The Solicitation Number USZA99-00-Q-0097 is hereby modified as follows: Change the description of material to read: The FRIS shall be constructed using W.L. Gore and Associates part number WGBZ103600 a laminated cloth or equivalent containing a NOMEX IIIA face fabric in Ocean Gray color (Pantone Color 17-1501TC), an oleophobic expanded polytetrafluoroethylene moisture barrier and a NOMEX knit liner. Essential performance for the FRIS material includes: Mass not to exceed 8.6 oz/sq yd as per ASTM 3776-96 and Fed Std 191a 5041. Flame Resistance test shows maximum 10 sec after flame, maximum 10 sec after glow, maximum 12.7 cm char length and no dripping as per NFPA 1971, FTM 5903.1. Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate shall be greater than 400 f/m2/24 hours as measured by ASTM E96-95B Method and greater than 3000 g/m2/24 hours as measured by ASTM E96-95 BW Method.
