Helphrey (415) 561-5098 The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, is soliciting bids from qualified firms to perform tree removal services at various locations on the Presidio of San Francisco. The Presidio is a National Park and National Historic Landmark. Scope of services includes but is not limited to removal of trees not to be otherwise transplanted or preserved. "Removal" includes but is not limited to cutting down, processing (e.g., chipping, mulching) and stump removal. The Trust anticipates awarding an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a base term plus option years. Initial task order anticipated is for removal of trees at the Letterman Hospital Complex site. Tentative start date late September 2000. Service Contract Act (U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage rates) applies. This procurement is set aside for competition among Small Business concerns qualified under the criteria and size standards in 13 CFR 121 for SIC Code 0783. Minimum qualifications include: valid ISA Certified Arborist Certification; valid California Contractor's License; demonstrated experience including references; and Certificate of Insurance. A MANDATORY site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. Meet at the main entrance to LAIR Building 1110 (south of YMCA pool & tennis courts, north of Letterman Hospital).
