Request for proposals (RFPs) for the Outreach and Admissions of youth for the Job Corps program in the State of Michigan will be available approximately September 01, 2000 on the World Wide Web at http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule.html. Job Corps is a program which provides education, vocational, avocational and support services to youth 16 through 24, in a residential setting. RFP 5-JC-979-26 is to meet the recruitment needs of 1,337 youth; 635 males and 702 females. In addition, any interested offeror should also plan for the possibility that recruitment needs may be expanded to include the States of Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Minnesota and Wisconsin. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period March 1, 2001 through February 28, 2002, plus four unilateral Governmental option years. All activities will be in compliance with applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations, policies and handbooks. Proposals in response to this RFP will be due no later than 12:00 NOON (Central Time) on Friday, October 03, 2000, at the following address: U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, Room 676, 230 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois 60604. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 230 South Dearborn Street, John C. Kluczynski Federal Building, Office of Job Corps, 6th Floor, Room 676, Chicago, Illinois on September 07, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. (Central Time).
