acknowledged intention and meaning of this solicitation to perform
janitorial services in common areas, including but not limited to,
hallways, restrooms, TV rooms, laundry rooms and stairways. Cleaning
shall be performed 5 days per week to a 3 story, 6 wing barracks.
Cleaning consists of floors, walls, restroom fixtures, mirrors,
interior windows, emptying waste receptacles, carpet shampooing and
cleaning light fixtures at the Naval Security Group Activity, Winter
Harbor, Maine. The work will be performed by means of a firm fixed
price contract. The term of the contract resulting from this
solicitation will be for a period of one year and one option year.
PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST REGISTER IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR
REGISTRATION DATABSE PRIOR TO AWARD OF A CONTRACT. BIDDERS ARE FURTHER
ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO REGISTER IN THE DOD CENTRAL CONTRACTOR
REGISTRATION DATABASE MAY RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. The
government will award a contract to the responsible quoter whose quote
is the most advantageous to the government, price and other factors
considered. Factors, other than price include: QUALITY SERVICE:
Evidence that the company has internal controls in place to deliver a
quality service, such as performance checksheets and material/supply
inventory documents. Experience in developing detailed performance
schedules and the ability to adhere to an approved schedule. Ability to
communicate within the origanization and with government
representatives/customers. CAPACITY: Capacity to meet all contract
requirements -- including plan for labor back-up for unanticipated
employee absences. Proof of established relationship with suppliers.
PAST PERFORMANCE: Evidence of contractor's proven expertise,
reliability and responsiveness in the form of written or verbal
evaluations from Government or private industry. Information can be
provided by the contractor, or obtained through existing government
databases, contract file documentation or customer interviews.
Contractor shall provide at least 3 references for work of a similar
nature, with point of contact and phone number. All evaluation factors,
other than cost or price, when combined are approximately equal to cost
or price. The contractor shall provide pricing as required by the
solicitation and shall submit a narrative of how their price and
consideration of all other factors shall benefit the government. A
meeting to discuss the terms of this solicitation and a walk through
will be held on 30 AUG 00 at 10:00 a.m. at the Naval Security Group
Activity, Winter Harbor, Maine in Bldg. 216. All requests must be in

quote closing date has not been set for this solicitation. The quote
closing date will be indicated on the Standard Form 18 in the
solicitation package. The standard industrial code for this
solicitation is 7349; the FSC code is S201. This solicitation will be
