This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with FAR 13 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation A SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number N00181-00-Q-0728 applies and quotations are being requested. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement 1998 Ed. The Standard Industrial Code is 3492 with a small business size of 500 employees. For purposes of award evaluation, a 10% preference shall be given to HUBZone contractors. IAW FAR 6.302-1, FISC Norfolk/NNSY Annex intends to contract for the following items: 0001, Hose assembly, 50 ft length, hose I.D. 3/8", hose O.D. 0.790", 8,000 PSI working pressure, 32,000 PSI minimum burst pressure, 3" minimum bend radius, black polyurethane cover, spiraled high tensile aramid fiber reinforcement, nylon lined core tube, 45JO hose guard, P/N 3V10-06, permanent end fittings 3/8" hose ID, 3/8" pipe size, stainless steel material P/N 390V-06106-C-05. Hose assembly shall be tested and tagged in accordance with NAVSEA S6430-AE-TED-0101 Volume I. Assembly shall be capable of handling very high pressure. SYNFLEX OR EQUAL. NOTE: If hose and fittings are other than SYNFLEX, they must be equal in to and in compliance with the specifications listed herein.
