R -- The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) intends to award a contract to provide telephone support services for the Retirement Information Office. The contractor shall perform the following services and functions to include (but not limited to) establish and staff a call center to handle overflow telephone calls estimated at 22,000 to 25,000 calls per month with an average speed of an answer of five seconds or less and an average talk time of 3.5 minutes or less. The contractor shall process a wide range of actions as they relate to annuitants and survivors covered under the Civil Service Retirement and Federal Employees Retirement Systems. Additionally, any contract awarded would include a requirement for the contractor to handle about 100,000 calls per month on an emergency basis should the RIS telephone equipment become non-operational in the event of a disaster. The base contract period will be for one year, with four additional option years. Solicitation OPM-RFP-00-01037DHH is expected tobe released approximately 15 days after publication of this notice and will close 30 days after release. This is a 100% Small Business Set-aside.
