This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-00-Q-0300 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17 and DCN 20000606. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3357 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 -- 17each 1000 foot spools M24640/16-02U0 2XSOW7 NSN 6145-01-224-8312, cable, 0002 23 each 1000 foot spools M24640/9-02U0 2XS07 NSN 6145-01-224-9195 cable. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination at Crane, IN 47522 with the delivery schedule as follows: CLIN 0001 5 each by 10/31/00 12 each by 12/31/00, CLIN 0002 6 each by 10/31/00 17 by 12/31/00. Multiple offers are encouraged and award may be made to multiple venders. Selection for award will be based on price and past performance. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
