This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued; proposals are requested based on this notice. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation is issued as Request for Proposal number 222-00-2012(P). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18, dated July 6, 2000. This solicitation is a small business set-aside. The standard industrial classification code is 5049 with a size standard of 500 employees. REQUIREMENT: Quantity 1 each, Ultima External Ion Source Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometer System to include (1) Superconducting Magnet System consisting of, 7.0 Tesla active shielded superconducting magnet, Horizontal room temperature bore, Liquid nitrogen and liquid helium transfer line. (2) IonSpec HiResESI vacuum system with external Electrospray Ionization Source -- (4) IonSpec OMEGA Windows 98 Data System -- (5) Operating, Maintenance and Trouble shooting manuals, and (6) 12 month Warrany to cover parts and labor. Quantity 1 each, Syringe pump for ESI. Quantity 1 each, 60 degrees Off-axis electrospray ion source for dual ESI assembly. Quantity 1 each, BaF2 Window on end of ESI analyzer tube. Quantity 1 each, EI source mounted inside MALDI with direct probe and gate valve. Quantity 1 each, Extra MALDI direct insertion sample probe with spare tips. Quantity 1 each, Inlet system upgrade withy second pulsed valve. Quantity 1 each, Starter kit including special tools and spare parts. Quantity 1 each, Upgrade transient digitizer to 2M-Word cach. Quantity 1 each, 2-GB removable disk drive for data storage and backup.
