hensleys@va-arng.ngb.army.mil. The Virginia Army National Guard, Fort
Pickett, Blackstone, Virginia, has a need for the following items: 1)
Armor Moving Target Car (AMTC), 2 Each; and 2) Hand Held Computer
Controller, 1 Each. The AMTCs must be self-contained, self-propelled
cars capable of lifting all standard NATO targets used for Tank and
Bradley fighting vehicle crew qualifications. The cars must operate on
standard gauge rail systems, 56.5 inches inside to inside measurement
of the rail. The cars will be utilized on existing rails. The cars
must be capable of variable speed control, minimum speed up to 20 mph.
In addition to speed selection the operator must be able to control
direction of travel, target expose/conceal and hit sensitivity must be
adjustable. The car must be able to sense hits from .50 caliber to all
main gun tank, 25mm and 30mm cannon ammunition. The cars must be
controlled by portable computer and have a computer scoring capability.
Successful bidder will initially install cars on rails and provide
complete function checks. Bidder will provide all available maintenance
and operation manuals and spare parts list for cars and computer.
