The Defense Information Systems Agency invites industry to a conference for the forthcoming DSS-G II procurement. Detailed information will be provided concerning DISA's Mission, how the DISN supports that mission, and the DISN support requirements that are to be satisfied via the anticipated DSS-G II contracts. Recent changes to the DSS-G II solicitation will also be discussed. The conference will begin at 0800, 20 September 2000, at Building 3 of the Maritime Institute of Technology (directions below). Questions from industry concerning the current draft material on the Web or the forthcoming updated draft are encouraged and shall be submitted to the Government via email at the registration site indicated below. Written questions may also be submitted at the conference. Two DSS-G II awards are anticipated. One award will be determined through full and open competition for all of industry. The second award will be a Small Business Set-Aside (SBSA). The NAICS and SIC Codes and associated size standardsfor this award will be published shortly. A revised version of the Draft RFP will be published on/about 31 August 2000 on the DITCO WEB site. The Maritime Institute is located near the Baltimore Washington Airport. If proceeding north on the Baltimore Washington Parkway (MD-295), exit at Nursery Road (second exit after the airport and one exit before the Baltimore Beltway). Bear right (east) onto Nursery Road, turn left onto International Drive (traffic light), turn left onto Aero Drive, proceed two blocks and through the gate onto Maritime property. Pre-registration for conference attendance is required and is limited by company to no more than three individuals. (Should seating capacity be exceeded, this limit will be reduced.) To take full advantage of the conference it is suggested that the three individuals have respectively corporate responsibilities in the following areas: management, technical, and administration (which includes costing and pricing responsibilities).
