This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial cellular telephone service, prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; sources along with their proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as request for proposal N6808401RQ-CN012. The solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect thru FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-4 and 52.212.3 along with FAR 52.232-18 and 52.232-33. The Naval Hospital in Charleston, SC is in need of sources (along with proposals) for cellular telephone service for the period 01 Oct 2000 thru 30 Sep 2001 for 42 government owned cellular phones. 3. Service to be provided shall be basic coverage (no service enhancements i.e., call waiting, caller id, etc.). The majority of airtime will be during the hours of 7:00am thru 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday, with a substantial decline in usage after 5:00pm and on weekends. For bidding purposes only, the airtime usuage over the period of the contract is estimated at 36,000 minutes. 4. Vendors shall include a detailed breakdown of charges on their proposal; To include as applicable: Airtime charges, Roaming charges, Long distance charges and FCC charges. 5.
