The Library of Congress intends to issue a delivery order against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement to allow for the renewal of a current subscription with Peterson's, by the U.S. Army Family and Support Center, Alexandria, VA (CFAV). Peterson's is to provide "Career and College Quest" and "Gradsearch" which are Windows-based CD-ROMs offered as stand alone and site licensed databases that are updated annually. The Career and College Quest provides searching by four year, two year colleges and vo-tech programs across the country, as well as college comparison charts, college checklist, universal application, and financial needs analysis. The Gradsearch database offers a searchable database of 1600 graduate degree-granting institutions, 31,000 master's, doctoral and professional degree programs of study. Also includes narrative descriptions written by the colleges and Hot Links from Institution to Department to Program of Study within the college. In addition to the CD's and diskettes offered, the full complement of Peterson's print publications are available under the current agreement. Service will be continued through September 30, 2000.
