Kingman Road, on the North Post of Ft. Belvoir, Virginia 22060, has a requirement for interior plantings and maintenance of same for its 800,000 sq ft facility consisting of nine (9) sections called pods each having four floors, (this does not include basement level). The Headquarters Complex currently has live plants located on four (4) floors. The Atrium level has large potted plants, trees, and palms and in the D Pod (main entrance) floors two through four there are currently four live potted plants on each floor. There is a monthly change-out requirement for six potted plants that are located at the main Atrium guard desk. On floors two through four, Pods one through three and five through nine there are two sizes of planter containers located around the railing openings consisting of live plants. Vendors are asked to submit two proposals: 1. Maintenance of existing live plants on atrium level and changing out of live plants on three upper floors to LEASED silk plants/flowers; 2. Maintenance of existing live plants on atrium level and changing out of live plants on three upper floors to PURCHASED silk plants/flowers. Maintenance and replacement shall be accomplished for a base year, October 01, 2000 through September 30, 2001, with two 1-year options.
