April 1, 2, 3, 4, 5; April 30, May 1, 2, 3; June 3, 4, 5, 6, 7; June
25, 26, 27, 28; and meeting rooms for: November 14, 15, 17; December 4,
5, 6, 8; February 6, 7, 9; April 2, 3, 4, 6; May 1, 2, 4; June 26, 27,
29. A fixed price purchase order will result unde SIC 7011. Submit

Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial
item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. This is a COMBINED
SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation. Quotations are being requested anda written
solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document
incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-17. Applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by

________________________. SPECIFICATIONS: HOTEL -- The hotel selected
must be within a 4-mile radius of the USDA Headquarters South Building
located at 1400 Independence Avenue SW, Washington, DC.; accommodate
both meeting and lodging needs in the same establishment. Hotel must be
located in a safe, well-lighted area. Within 3-1/2 blocks from a metro
rail subway system station. On-site central office space,
approximately 9 X 12, to coordinate the use of computer, fax, copier,
telephone and area for brief small group meetings. LODGING -- Up to 25
single occupancy sleeping rooms for four (4) nights. Individual
sleeping rooms to be equipped with data ports. Must be approved under
the Fire Safety Act regulation. MEETING ROOM -- Minimum of 1,000 square
feet of meeting space with ample adjustable lighting conducive for
training environment. Meeting room set up by 7:30 a m each morning,
except Thursdays, when meeting space is not required. Meeting room
shall include exhibit area to accommodate display table, head table,
training equipment; TV, VCR, overhead projector, projection screen, LCD
projector, and laptop computer. Seating configuration to accommodate up
to 25 people in U-shape with an unobstructed view of the designated
exhibit area. The configuration must also allow for 10 chairs around
the perimeter of the room. DINING FACILITIES: Dining facility readily
accessible on the hotel premises as well as optional dining facilities
within 3-1/2 blocks of the hotel. Provide room service. BREAKS:
Provide coffee, tea and decaffeinated coffee by 7:30 a m each morning
with midmorning refresh. Provide soft drinks by 2:00 p m each day,
except Fridays. EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS: Secure storage of training
equipment and materials. AMS Training Institute will be permitted to
provide its own A/V equipment, without fee. Equipment includes TV, VCR,
overhead projector, projection screen, LCD projector, and laptop
computer. ACCESSIBILITY: Hotel must be compliant with Americans with
Disabilities Act providing adequate accommodations for individuals with
mobility, sight and hearing disabilities in the meeting rooms, rest
