The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (TACOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, has a requirement for one hundred ten (110) M145 Straight Telescopes, Part No. 902105-001, configured with 5.56 reticles, for use on the M4 Mod Weapon. The telescopes shall produced in accordance with the current M145 configuration per the Statement of Work and Purchase Description for XM145 Straight Telescope, dated 24 Apr 97, DAAE30-98-C-1035, except the reticles shall be configured for 5.56mm. The anticipated release date of the Request for Quote (RFQ) is 21 Aug 2000. The government intends to make a sole-source award to the Canadian Commercial Corporation, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, on behalf of Raytheon-Elcan Optical Technologies, Midland, Ontario, Canada, in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii).
