55417 has a requirement for reagents and expendable supplies for use
with the VA owned Boehringer Mannheim Hitachi-911 Random Access
Chemistry Analyzer. All reagents must be compatible for use on the
Hitachi 911 instrumentation and must provide the highest level of
precision available for testing in order to meet certification
requirements of the laboratory. A firm-fixed price contract will be
awarded to the offeror providing the best value to the government. It
is anticipated that a Base Year with two Option Years not to exceed a
three year contract will be awarded. RFQ-618-45-01-LK has been assigned
to this solicitation and bid documents will be available on or about
August 23, 2000. Solicitation and award procedures under Federal
Acquisition Regulations FAR 12 and FAR 13 will be followed. FSC Code 65
applies and the small business size standard is NAICS code 325413
(formerly SIC 2835) "In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing" with
a small business size standard of 500 employees or less. Interested
