D -- INSTALLATION, TRAINING AND SOFTWARE FOR IKONOS MODULE SOL F44600-00-T-0125 DUE 082800 POC SSgt Paula Houston 757-764-5520 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. (ii) Solicitation F44600-00-T-0125 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Written documentation will not be issued for this quote. (iii) The solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Part 12. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. (iv) The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7371 with a size standard, averaged over a one year period of $18,000,000. (v) Langley AFB plans to procure a sole source acquisition with Veridian-Erim International for National Technical Means-Multi Image Exploitation Tool (MET) training, IKONOS support module to Ortho Image Tools and testing, training and software for IKONOS support module. In addition Veridiam-Erim International holds the sole license for the sale of the software. (vi) The following requirements are applicable: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide training on processing of National Technical Means (NTM) image data to the Controlled Image Based (CIB) format using Mulit-Image Exploitation Tool (MET) and Geo Spacial Information Processing System (GIPS) software, and to install, test and train on the IKONOS Module on the GIPS. (vii) Delivery: No later than 19 September 2000. (viii) The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix) N/A.
