Solicitation, astoor@fs.fed.us. This project consists of reconstruction
of 49 meters of 4.3 meter wide roadway; construction of a 28-foot by
16-foot treated timber bridge; and installation of a beaver pond
leveler. Work includes removal of the existing wood bridge deck and
concrete abutments from National Forest System lands. Due to an
instream channel work window of July 15-August 15, 2001, the project is
advertised in August of 2000. The Contractor is expected to complete
all submittals and other preconstruction requirements before the
commencement of the 2001 construction season. The project is located
about 18 miles northeast of Fairfield, Idaho, on the Fairfield Ranger
District of the Sawtooth National Forest. The project is accessed from
Forest Road 70095 or from Forest Road 70015. The est. start date is
October 1, 2000, with 365 calendar days for contract completion. The
est. price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This proposed
procurement is uder the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration
