Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment to improve the accessibility to the Fire Dampers at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center. The project essentially converts four each Multi-Zone Air Handling Units to VAV Air Distribution Systems. The work will involve the demolition of ducting in the attic space through the second floor duct chases to the first floor. New ducting will be installed reducing the number of required fire dampers. A hot water converter and distribution system will be installed for reheat coils in the newly installed VAV boxes. All work is to be done in strict accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. Solicitation packages will be issued on September 5, 2000. A Pre-Bid Meeting/walkthrough will be held on September 20, 2000 at 2:00PM local time, attendance is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged. There is no bid deposit. Bids will be opened on October 5, 2000 at 2:00PM local time. The cost range is between $250,000 to $500,000.
