The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel of Baltimore, Maryland to provide banquet space, food and audio-visual services for a banquet on October 18, 2000 in association with the 23rd National Information Systems Security Conference being held at the Baltimore Convention Center. The contractor must be within walking distance of the convention center, have the ability to prepare food for and seat 1200 people which will include a head table, and provide audio-visual equipment. A purchase order will be issued on/about September 1, 2000, using simplified acquisition procedures. The proposed requirement is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one lone responsible source under authority of FAR 13.106 1(b).
