COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT
CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A
WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is
BBE139 and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. The Environmental
Protection Agency anticipates that the contract will be as a result of
small business set aside competition. A firm-fixed-price purchase
order is anticipated to result from the award of this solicitation.
This procurement is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE and the SIC No. is
5065 with a size standard of 100 Employees. This procurement is not a
follow-on to a prior contract. This acquisition is for the delivery,
FOB Destination, EPA, Research Triangle Park, NC of the following: One
each of: Item 1) Sony DKCD35WSL camera DSR1/cach101 kit/reg consisting
of: 1 Sony dockable widescreen DSP camera/reg; 1 Sony DSR1 DVCAM
Dockable Recorder/reg; and, 1 Sony Unified Handle f/DXCD30 & DSR-1reg.
Item 2) Fujinon 2/3" 16:9/4:3 Swithcable 19:1 lens/reg (FUA 19x8.7BWU
A19x87BWU). Item 3) Sony PVV-3 Betacam Dockable Recorder unit/reg.
Item 4) Sony DSR 2000 DVCAM Studio Editing Recorder/reg. Evaluation
criteria to be included in paragraph (a) of provision 52.212.2 are as
follows: Ability to provide the above specified items and price. The
following FAR provisions apply (which can be downloaded at the

this solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial
Items, and 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items. Offeror shall include
with their offer a completed copy of provision 52.212-3, Offeror
