The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has a requirement for avionics engineering, system design and integration, software development, and maintenance services required to support Code 4.5.1.2, Avionics System Integration Branch. The NAWCAD is acquiring services for the VH Executive Transport Program, Satellite Navigation based systems, Wearable Computer based systems, Avionics Systems Integration Projects and the corresponding program laboratories. The required tasking is comprised of (1) Avionics Systems Engineering, Development and Integration; (2) Support Systems Development and Integration; (3) Avionics System Testing and Validation; (4) Documentation Control; and (5) Program Management. The anticipated contract type is a cost plus fixed fee. The level of effort is estimated at 98,880 man hours per year for a total level of effort of 494,400. The period of performance is estimated at 12 months plus four one-year options to be assessed and awarded on an annual basis. The Standard industry Code is 8711. All interested firms must have or be able to obtain a SECRET facility clearance and a SECRET level of safeguarding. This requirement is a follow-on effort to N62269-96-C-0033 in which Intermetrics, Inc. is the incumbent and N00421-95-C-5017 in which Pacer Systems, Inc. is the incumbent. The Navy intends to release the solicitation, including any subsequent amendments, via the Internet. The solicitation will be available on the NAVAIR Home Page located on the World Wide Web (WWW). The WWW server may be accessed using client browsers such as NETSCAPE and INTERNET EXPLORER. The WWW address, or URL, for the NAVAIR Home Page is: http://www.navair.navy.mil.
