This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1.This solicitation, GS05P00SFC6235, is being issued as a request for proposal (RFP). 2.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. 3.This acquisition is set aside for small businesses. 4.This acquisition, for one administrative position, is intended to result in a base one-year contract with one additional option year. 5.The scope of work for this acquisition consists of the following minimum requirements: a.Daily hours are 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. b.Courteous and professional telephone etiquette. c.Handle all mail activities. d.Typing services. e.Handle all fax activities. f.Photocopying services. g.Filing services. h.Knowledge of Word and Excel programs. Must be able to learn and work with other commercially available computer programs and other programs that are unique to the government. i.Other duties as assigned that fall under administrative services. 6.The place of performance is General Services Administration, Central Field Office in Chicago. There are two locations; 536 S. Clark Street and 610 S. Canal. The awardee must be able to provide service at either location depending on the needs of the Central Field Office. 7.The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. 8.The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The evaluation criteria are past performance, experience, and price. Past performance and experience combined, are relatively more important than price. 9.Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with its offer. 10.The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Termination clauses (l) and (m) are deleted. Termination clause (t) is hereby inserted: (t)Termination. Either party may terminate this contract unilaterally with 5 days written notice. Termination under this clause shall be without cost or recourse to either party. 11.The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. 12.Offers are due Wednesday, September 6, 2000 at 3:00 p.m., local time.
