Systems Command intends to contract with McDonnell Douglas Corporation,
a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, P.O. Box 516, St.
Louis, MO 63166-0516, to procure in-service post production support for
the F/A-18A/B/C/D aircraft. McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the sole
designer, producer and supporter of the F/A-18A/B/C/D/E/F aircraft and
is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, facilities,
tooling, and special test equipment to provide in-service support. This
support includes the following: configuration management/maintenance;
ECP preparation and impact analysis; engineering field
studies/investigations; safety maintenance analysis; supplier
coordination/obsolescence analysis; technical publications; engineering
management of support equipment and spare and repair parts; technical
directives and manuals; design change notices (DCN) maintenance; site
survey activities; maintenance plans; configuration data; support
equipment list; provisioning conferences and all related technical
support; configuration status accounting report (CSAR); retrofit
configuration status (RCS); technical directive kit shipment report
(TDKSR); technical field team support; repair disposition; engineering
and technical studies; training support; maintenance transition
planning; bulletins and interim change notices; contractor validation;
verification, and/or installation of engineering changes; logistics
support analysis/maintenance plan for engineering changes; facilities
planning; ILS program management; continual assessment of life cycle
logistics support; software development/maintenance-mission statements;
contractor engineering technical services (CETS); and all data
