The effort would be awarded on a firm fixed price basis. Contract award would be targeted for 1st quarter Fiscal Year 2001 (i.e., October/November 2000). The estimated quantity is 4,700 each. In addition to advising us of your interest in this effort, please respond to the following: a. What do you estimate as your lead time to provide the kits? (Our objective is to start receiving kits in February 2001, or earlier.) b. Based on the details provided in the preliminary drawings, we would appreciate a ROM (rough order of magnitude) price estimate. NOTE: This estimate will be used as a tool for planning purposes only and to assist us in performing a make/buy analysis. c. Based on your review of the drawings, do you foresee any issues that may restrict your ability to participate in this effort? d.
