United States Coast Guard, MLC Atlantic intends to issue a five year
Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for Woodward
Engine Actuator/Governors, in accordance with Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR
Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This
requirement is being solicited on a Brand Name basis under the
authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR Subpart 6.302-1. The Request
for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about July 31, 2000, via the
Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.eps.gov. The RFQ
number is DTCG80-00-Q-3FAM13. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be
issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the EPS system for
RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. The Standard Industrial
Classification Code is 3519 _ Diesel Engine and Engine Parts, and the
small business size standard is 1000. The acquisition is for Woodward
PGA-EG Actuator/Governor, Model # 8577-356. The unit will be used onthe
ALCO 251-18 Diesel Engine. The minimum quantity is 3ea and the maximum
quantity is 30ea. Actuator/Governors will be ordered by delivery order
and delivered F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering
Logistics Command, Baltimore, MD. The initial quantity shall be
delivered within 90 days after contract award. Items shall be packed,
packaged and marked in accordance with commercial standards. The OEM's
best standard commercial warranty is requested and shall be identified
in the bidder's quote. This is an unrestricted RFQ, therefore, all
interested sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the
Coast Guard. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises (DBE). The Department of Transportation (DOT)
Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in
the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for
transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $500,000
