"This Procurement is for: Qty 1 Valve: 8"" ANSI 1500# class ball valve,
7.189"" bore. Valve shall have bolted construction. Valve shall be
repairable without removal from the line, with double barrier stem
seals, vent plugs which allow the valve body cavities to be completely
vented with the valve in the closed position under pressure, trunions
to min. unit bearing loads and operation torque, and built-in sealant
infection system for emergency shut- off. Valve to be in accordance
with ANSI B16.34 and ANSI/ASME B31.3. A) Material: 1) Body and
Closure-ASTM A216 Grade WCC. 2) Stem-AISI 4140 electroless nickle
coated. 3) Ball-ASTM A148 Grade 90-60, chrome plated. 4) Outer and
inner seats an seals-to be compatible with service conditions. B) End
connection-8"" GR72 (7.189"" bore) grayloc type compression hubs. C)
Actuator-Hydraulic (1500 psi available) fail safe to the open position.
To be provided with servo valve and feedback system to be able to
position valve at intermediate locations. Feedback system to provide a
signal to a remote display (supplied by others). A pir of limit
switches to be provided at the fully open and fully closed positions.
Valve to fully open in 15 dec. from a fully closed position with 1745
psi across the valve. A manual drive with a hand wheel to be provided.
D) 100% radiographic inspect the body and all parts subjected to line
pressure per ASTM E-94. Requirements of ASTM E-71 for class II casting
to apply. E) Service Conditions-2750 pai air at -50 to 350deg. F. Valve
must seal 2750 psi across it but is only required to operate with a
1745 psi across the valve. F) Hydrastatically test in accordance with
ANSI/ASME B31.3 at 4125 psi for the body and 3750 psi for seats. G)
Leakage- to be bubble tight per ANSI B16.104. Delivery shall be FOB
Arnold AFB TN and is required 90 calender days after award. Firms
responding to this synopsis should indicate whether or not they are a
minority business concern. Quotes will be due 10 days after issuance of
the Request for Quote. The anticipated due date is estimated to be 18
