Woodward St., Austin, TX 78772 D -- REPLACEMENT SOFTWARE FOR ABEND-AID SOL Not available DUE 090500
POC xxx E-MAIL: click here to contact the contracting officer via,
william.cox@mail.va.gov. VA-AAC seeks to replace its use of Compuware's
Abend-Aid with a functionally equivalent or similar product. Abend-AID
formats the IBM-supplied dump information that is produced when a
program terminates abnormally into a user-friendly format that makes
solving production and test application program problems faster and
easier. It provides information about the type of termination, common
causes, abending instruction, and the last input and output records.
Interested parties are requested to provide pricing for commercial
software products that will provide the same functionality as
Abend-AID, and are requested to provide pricing for any training
offered for the use and installation of the product. Responses shall
describe functional differences between Abend-Aid and the proposed
replacement product, and shall address any conversions that are
necessary to replace Abend-Aid including changes that the end user must
be aware of in order to use the new product. If conversion support is
available and/or necessary by the vendor, the response must describe
this support and provide pricing. Pricing must be for the replacement
product only and must not be bundled with other software products. AAC
may seek enterprise licensing with no additional charges for any
reasons including but not limited to increases in MIPS capacity,
cross-servicing of other federal agencies, additional OS/390
footprints. If respondee is unable to provide this, the response shall
otherwise identify all charges and potential charges. Posted 08/23/00
