The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency intends to enter into an Interagency Agreement with the Library of Congress_s FEDLINK to utilize existing Basic Ordering Agreements (BOA) to purchase NewsEdge, a personal computer based information gateway service that captures and combines different news wire services and organizes the news on the user_s PC for searching and viewing and to purchase DowVision, which provides comprehensive coverage of up to the minute business and financial news (e.g. the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times). It is anticipated that the period of performance for these services will be from October 1, 2000 -- September 30, 2001. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation document is available. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement which is solely within the discretion of the OCC. Responses (in writing) should include full costing information, as well as descriptive literature containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bonafide capacity to meet the requirement.
