The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) seeks an extension of accounting support services for three months for the Controller Operations in the Investment Accounting area. The contractor shall provide personnel to support plan/case processing and related processing/operational functions. It is anticipated that the period of performance will be from October 1, 2000 through December 31, 2000. This is a continuation of work already undertaken by the existing provider. In view of the provider's in-department knowledge of PBGC, a broad understanding of Investment Accounting System (TAS), the complexities of Date of Plan Termination (DOPT) with regards to accounting transactions and the time already spent in learning the work and PBGC policies and procedures, it is PBGC's belief that it would be in our best interest for the current provider to complete the tasks within the existing time frames under the contract.
