Redwood Street, Suite 610, Baltimore MD. 21201 to participate in the NHLBI protocol #0-H-0003. The protocol studies genes in African American Hypertensive patients. The period of performance is approximately two (2) years. This requirement is under the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 8733, Size and Standard $5.0M. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures and is exempt for the requirement of FAR Part 6. Inherent duplication of cost to the Government and unacceptable delays in completing the project makes competition unfeasible for this final phase of the protocol, which provides for longer follow-up and data analysis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose determining in whether to conduct future competitive procurement.
