SENDING THEM OUT ELECTRONICALLY NOW. PROJECT TITLE: Laboratory Testing
Services for the Sacramento District. This proposal is 100% set-aside
for Small Business. This solicitation will be conducted under SIC Code
8734. The size standard for this SIC Code is $5,000,000.00. This
project consists of a Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract
for $250,000.00 Base Year. This will be a base year and 2 optional
years for a total of $75,000.00. JOB DESCRIPTION: Services include
furnishing all plant, labor, material, equipment, etc. to perform the
soil, rock, concrete, asphalt, riprap, mix design, compaction method,
and aggregate tests with complete compliance and adherence to the
applicable referenced test procedures. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: a. The
American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials
(AASHTO) must certify laboratory. b. The laboratory must be located
within a 60 miles radius of Sacramento, California. c. All supervisory
costs/fees/overhead, etc. shall be included in the test bid price. No
separate payment for supervision shall be made. d. The laboratory
shall have at least two Triaxial test cells. e. All data produced by
tests and analyses shall be forwarded to the Sacramento District, U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers, in both digital format (3 " floppy disk) and
hard copy. f. All tests and analyses specified in the appropriate
reference shall be strictly performed and reported as indicated. Any
deviations shall be coordinated with the Geotechnical Branch,
Sacramento District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers prior to the test
being conducted. INVITATION FOR BID (IFB): The acquisition method is
Invitation for Bid (IFB) and the POC is Contract Specialist: John Stock
(916) 557-5228. ORDERING THE SOLICITATION: Solicitations for this
project must be ordered by the CUT OFF DATE of 09/11/00 to ensure
receipt of solicitation package. Orders received beyond this date, will
not be considered. There will be no charge for this solicitation. The
solicitation will be mailed out on or about 09/14/00. Because a limited
number of sets will be reproduced, copies are limited to one set per
