Development (HUD) Chicago, Contracting Operations Branch intends to
issue Request for Quotations Number R-2000-R-00225 to procure a
fixed-price contract for the Office of Policy Development and Research
(PD&R), Office of International Affairs in HUD_s Headquarters located
in Washington, D. C., to provide INFORMATION EXCHANGE AND CASE STUDY
OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION PROGRAM IN SIRACUSA, ITALY. The individual or
the organization must have the following, but not limited to, these
qualifications: experience in international urban planning,
architecture and preservation, specifically experience in historic
buildings and historic centers, surveys, landscape planning and
architecture, design of pedestrian networks and public plazas, wall
restoration, buildings typology and socio-economic analysis; experience
in urban design as it relates to land use, historic preservation and
implementation of master plans for urban historic centers, and the
individual key person(s) shall be fluent in English and Italian and
have experience in producing high quality reports incorporating
graphics and other media. This procurement is issued under the Federal
Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Simplified Acquisition Procedures
(SAP). The performance period is for 14 weeks from the effective date
of the contract. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small
business concerns. See Numbered Note 1. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) Code is 8732 (Commercial Economic, Sociological,
and Educational Research). The Small Business Administration (SBA) size
standard is $5M. THE RFQ WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOADING NOT EARLIER
THAN 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF THIS PUBLICATION. The solicitation is
due within 25 days from the publication of this notice. Award of the
contract is expected to be made by September 28, 2000. All interested
parties should submit a written request asking for the RFQ identified
by the above solicitation number to the following address: HUD,
Contracting Branch, 77W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, Illinois, 60604-3507,
