This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 701810B003 and is issued as an Invitation For Bids. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses, which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This solicitation is set-aside for small business under SIC # 7389, size standard is 4.0Mil. Statement of Work/Specification is as follows: The Contractor shall provide 5-meter satellite imagery to be processed with color data. Provide end result which should be 5 meter solution, orthorectified, using the best quality digital base images available, preferably photographic, quadrangles at 1:63,360 scale, in natural color. Product to be in digital format only, on CD. The following is a listof 48 1:63,360 U.S.G.S. topographic quadrangle maps that make up the Kodiak archipelago. There is a seasonal time limit for the images July 1 through September 15, the seasonal time limit is necessary to increase the amount of vegetation coverage. Images from the same year are preferable but the fore-mentioned seasonal limitation takes precedentover the year. Due to the weather conditions in the areas we wish to receive images the Contractor should be able to process cloudy images and/or capture images in clear weather. Delivery of products are required to be delivered by September 30, 2001, Final Delivery and Inspection will be FOB Destination @ Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, 1390 Buskin River Road, Kodiak, AK 99615.
