Wood, Project Manager, (860) 285-7217 The United States Postal Service is soliciting proposals for sites or existing buildings in Winthrop, NY 13325. The site size desired is between 62,100 and 87,120 square feet of land, excluding setbacks, easements, drainage and water retention, septic requirements, and any other unusual conditions affecting development and use. The optimum site dimensions are 230 feet of frontage by 270 feet of depth. Requirements for existing buildings are 3,104 square feet of net interior space, 348 square feet of platform space, and 21,651 square feet of driveway, parking and maneuvering area. All sites within the preferred area will be considered; however, sites offered within the following boundaries will receive priority consideration: within the limits of the hamlet of Winthrop on either NYS HWY 420 or NYS HWY 11C. Offers must be submitted on a USPS Assignable to Purchase forms, and shall provide a minimum of 9 months for acceptance of the offer. The successful location must be properly zoned, if applicable, foruse as a Post Office, or must be capable of being rezoned for such use without delay of construction.
