X -- SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS FOR SPACE -- ALTAMONT, NY SOL 082530-00-A-0163 DUE 092900 POC Harold C. Wood, Project Manager, (860) 285-7217 The United States Postal Service is soliciting proposals for sites or existing buildings in Altamont, NY 12009. The site size desired is between 76,140 and 130,680 square feet of land, excluding setbacks, easements, drainage and water retention, septic requirements, and any other unusual conditions affecting development and use. The optimum site dimensions are 270 feet of frontage by 282 feet of depth. Requirements for existing buildings are 5,077 square feet of net interior space, 487 square feet of platform space, and 28,205 square feet of driveway, parking and maneuvering area. All sites within the preferred area will be considered; however, sites offered within the following boundaries will receive priority consideration: north by Danvers Rd; south by Altamont Blvd; east by Roue 146/Brandle Rd; & west by Bozenkill Rd. Offers must be submitted on a USPS Assignable to Purchase forms, and shall provide a minimum of 9 months for acceptance of the offer. The successful location must be properly zoned, if applicable, for use as a Post Office, or must be capable of being rezoned for such use without delay of construction. Proposals will be received through September 29, 2000 and must be submitted by principals only on specified forms and in accordance with the official advertisement for space.
