Project "Repair Elevator at Control Tower, Facility 1095" will be
issued on or about 8 September 2000. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) code for this project is 1796 with average annual
receipts not to exceed $11,500,000. The repair will consist of
replacing the existing leaking hydraulic cylinder. Contractor shall
also provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation
required to repair the elevator at Facility 1095. Prospective offerors
shall submit with their proposal as a minimum, a detailed description
of demolition and replacement procedure, equipment specifications, as
well as price proposal and performance time. Offerors shall provide to
the Government a complete and thorough proposal. Incomplete proposals
will not be accepted. Magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and
$100,000. Performance period is estimated 75 calendar days from the
Notice to Proceed date. Inclusion of drawings is encouraged. A contract
will be awarded in accordance with Price Performance Trade-Off (PPT)
procedures. This method of acquisition permits the Government to
consider an award to other than the lowest priced offeror. Solicitation
and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the Electronic
Posting System/Federal Business Opportunities (http://www.eps.gov/).
The Government will not provide any paper copies of the solicitation.
Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and
obtaining the solicitation and amendments and downloading them for
their files. Offerors shall provide required past performance
information with their proposals. Interested offerors must ensure they
are registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order
