This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number USZA95-00-R-0034 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those ineffect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17. The following is a description of the requirement: Task 1 -- Develop configuration, test/analyusis for Flight Release and ship with updated Np limits to MDHS-Boeing, Mesa, AZ to include the following: Close loop penalty test for flight release AWR arguments/support, 2 ea Flight Test ECUs. Task 2 -- FAA test and certification of 124% Np trip with 9% Hysterisis overspeed associated with the ECUs in Task 1. Task 2 includes the following: Documentation, CLT and certification support, modify conformed ECU and FAA conformity inspections, enginering release (ER), 1 Lot. Task 3 -- optional engine testing by Rolls Royce. The intended primary source of this procurement will be BF Goodrich, Chandler Evans Control Systems Division (CECO). CECO is the only known source with the proper facility/equipment/personnel to perform the required tasks. Inspection/Acceptance shall be at origin by Government. FOB delivery shall be origin.
