This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items provided in accordance with the format in Subparts 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation DAHA24-00-Q-0102 IS ISSUED AS A SOLICITATION/REQUEST FOR QUOTE AND INCORPORATES PROVISION AND CLAUSES IN EFFECT THROUGH Federal Acquisition Regulation and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The Government shall consider all sources certified as small businesses that submit proposals in a timely manner. The SIC code and small business size standard for this procurement are 3715 and 500 employees. The contractor shall deliver and install the van-body onto an existing cab and chassis, 6x4, 43,000 GVWR. The installation shall be of a manner to permit the removal and replacement of the van body at a future date. The contractor shall deliver the van-body after receipt of the written order to a contractor location within a 250-mile radius of Helena. The contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer when the van body is ready for installation, and the Government shall provide the cab and chassis as Government Furnished Property no later than November 15, 2000. Should the van body arrive prior to this date, the contractor shall provide for safe storage at their facility. Installation of the van-body shall be complete within seven (7) calendar days of receiving the cab and chassis, at which point the contractor shall notify the Government. The Government shall then perform inspection and acceptance at the contractor's facility within seven (7) days. The Government considers the following to be salient features of the van-body: One (1) each, Van-body, size: 26' foot long, 102" inches wide and 8' foot high; 8' foot wide roll-up door with side seals; floor that will support the use of a forklift inside; 12-inch high scuff plate on side and front wall; 3000 -- 4000 pound tuck away lift gate, with 45" -- 50" inch platform; inside lining of pine slats evenly spaced on 12" centers on sides and front; one dome light with switch at rear; and rubber dock bumper pads. Your firm fixed price quote shall reflect separate pricing for shipping and installation. Include all product specifications and a description of the warranty. Final Delivery is FOB Origin (250 miles of Helena) and required no later than forty-five days after receipt of order. Evaluation of quotes will be based on conformity to the synopsis/solicitation, price, equipment capability, and proposed delivery schedule.
