The intended use of the trailers is to transport U. S. Postal Service Long Life Vehicles (LLV) to and from maintenance facilities. The trailers are to be approximately 48 feet in length and be capable of transporting three LLV's. The trailers shall be steel, designed for continuous service, high mileage and a sharp turning radius. Brakes on a given trailer shall be electric (tandem axle) or air (single axle). The vehicles shall be built in accordance with the purchase description developed by the Engineering Branch, Office of Vehicle Acquisition & Leasing Services and contained in the RFQ. The RFQ will result in an IDIQ contract under Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) 23 Part V -- Vehicular Multiple Award Schedule.
