Glover, Sr., Contracting Officer, (202) 501-4428, FAX: (202) 501-4681 DESC: The General Services Administration (GSA) intends to issue a Delivery Order against Existing Library of Congress FEDLINK Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) Number 98CLFB70007 for a subscription with LEXIS-NEXIS, Dayton, OH for the use and access of their nationwide database for electronic publications and document delivery. This subscription is for LEXIS-NEXIS, an on-line electronic retrieval system of full text access to legal information, worldwide news, public records, legislative and financial information. Additionally, on-site free training, telephone support services, and reference attorneys via telephone will be provided. Services will be provided for fiscal year 2001. This acquisition is considered non-competitive because the required services are only available from LEXIS-NEXIS. Some of the services offered are: Customized Web Page, FOCUS, KWIC, FREESTYLE, SHEPARD'S, LEXCITE, LEXSEE, LEXSTAT, ECLIPSE, Core Terms, Selected Text, "More Like This", Auto-Cite, and Lexis.com Search Advisor. These services are exclusive to LEXIS-NEXIS. LEXIS-NEXIS also provides access to materials from Matthew Bender, Martindale-Hubbell, Michie and Congressional information service legislative histories. Service will not be limited to Central Office. Access to LEXIS-NEXIS will be provided through proprietary software as well as via Internet through lexis.com. This service has nationwide accessibility. GSA, OGC requires nationwide accessibility to take full advantage of the system throughout its 11 regions and Central Office. Use of the Library of Congress FEDLINK contract is essential to ensure access to services. This system has customer features for GSA. No telephone calls will be accepted.
