The anti-virus and related security software must be able to identify and clean viruses in internal and external Notes mail, detect malicious mail, button bombs, trojans, hotspots, and Lotus scripts, check the content of mail text, support multiple concurrent virus scanners, scan Notes mail for key words or phrases to prevent junk e-mail, stop unauthorized e-mail users and recipients, quarantine specified file types, notify sender, recipient, and administrator, must have a learning mode for scripts, actions and java applets, spam mail checking capabilities, multiple mailbox support, and checks new and modified documents for viruses including the application. In addition, the anti-virus and relatedsecurity software must technically be able to act a native server task, possess multiple thread capabilities, permit integrated configuration, allow central administration, allows rule definition by user, group or domain, and must not require NT server to set-up and monitor, or additional updates to design changes.
